The Bee's Tees, Short & Shirty
Welcome to The Bee's Tees! We’re new to the industry but hoping to add our own take to the merchandise world. We’re kicking off with Tees and Mugs as our baseline products, but plan to expand as it becomes possible while we grow!
The Bee’s Tees is an online merchandising company, running out of an office in Burnie, which is on the northwest coast of Tasmania, Australia. We’re a small state full of natural beauty and quirky people. A lot of artists call Tasmania their home, and we’re aiming to take that art and share it with the wider community of Australia and hopefully one day, the rest of the world.
We really have 3 key focuses as a business; supporting our artists, supporting Australian business and supporting the environment.
Supporting our artists means a lot to us, as there would be no business without them. We don’t “pay our artists with exposure”, we include it as a perk. We pay fair commission prices on all artwork as negotiated with the artists themselves and include any links to their existing social media accounts or websites to our pages unless requested otherwise. We want their art to be appreciated far and wide.
Supporting Australian business means a lot to us too. We want to see more jobs in Tasmania and Australia as a whole. So all our artists are currently Tasmanians, just like us, though we will likely expand to Australians in general as interest builds. We also exclusively order our supplies and stock through Australian companies. While this doesn’t always guarantee us Australian-made products, we do everything we can to have all our printing and supply done on Australian soil, to support industry here as best we can.
Lastly, but by no means least, we at The Bee’s Tees care about our environment. We named our company after the bees, because we understand the importance of pollinators to the worldwide ecosystem. We are also providing recyclable and biodegradable packaging whenever and wherever possible. Cardboard for our mugs, HeroPack compostable mailbags, you name it. We want to leave this planet a better place than how we found it.
